About Us

We are the Cottrell Coders, the robotics team from Cottrell Elementary School! This year, our competition theme for First Lego League was “Unearthed” – all about digging into the past to learn cool things for the future.

We discovered that artifacts (like old coins, arrowheads, pottery, and other treasures from long ago) tell amazing stories about history. But when people take these artifacts home, those stories can be lost forever!
That’s why we created this app as our service project.

Now when you find an artifact, you can:

📸 Take a photo and share your discovery
🔍 Learn what it is and where it came from
🏆 Earn points and climb the leaderboard
🌟 Help preserve history by leaving artifacts where you found them

By keeping artifacts in place, we protect the past for everyone to enjoy and study. Plus, you get to be a history hero and compete with other artifact explorers!
